Chakra Yoga Teen Empowerment Camp with Bijou

June 23rd - 30th

9-11 am

Ages: 13-16

In this fun and educational yoga camp students will learn yoga studio etiquette and procedures. They will become familiar with things to expect and know when going to class. The chakra themed activities provide tools to evaluate energy, reactions, and choices. Each day will focus on a different chakra and provide insights in working with that energy. Students will gain the confidence to continue practicing yoga and self-exploration. Here’s a quick overview of this program:

Day 1: Ice breakers, syllabus  review, yoga studio etiquette, safety, and a yoga class.

Day 2: Root chakra

Day 3: Sacral chakra

Day 4: Solar Plexus chakra

Day 5: Heart chakra

Day 6: Throat chakra

Day 7: Third Eye chakra

Day 8: Crown chakra

Each chakra session includes an informational lesson, guided activities such as chanting, drawing, dancing, and affirmation work, journal reflection time and a yoga class. Students will be able to repeat guided activities and journaling independently after course is complete.

About Bijou

Bijou is a holistic healer with Reiki level II, sound healing, aromatherapy, herbalism and yoga teacher certifications. Known as Bijou Blessings, she can be found at the Merchantville Market off Centre and many day festival events throughout the year vending all natural self-care products and providing intuitive tarot readings. Bijou Blessings has been a meditation leader and holistic healer at Blue Moon Wellness Spa since 2017. She teaches hatha and vinyasa hatha yoga, provides custom herbal medicines and product alternatives and holds private healing sessions and events.
